Singularity
A ship engaging creatures in deep space, with shield, hull and reactor readouts on the HUD
In development

Fly the gap between
stations and stars.

An online space sim in the spirit of Earth & Beyond: take your ship between sectors, walk your pilot through the station you dock at, and share both with everyone else out there.

What it is

Three factions, three professions, and one simulation that the server owns end to end. Clients send intent — a heading, a throttle, a dock request — and the server decides what actually happened.

A ship fitting screen showing weapon, shield, engine and reactor sockets with power budget

Fit your ship

Every socket draws from a reactor budget. A second gun means something else goes cold.

A mission board interface listing contracts

Take contracts

Work the board out of the station concourse, or go find your own trouble in the dark.

A market exchange screen comparing item prices

Trade the spread

Prices differ by station. Hauling between them is a profession, not a chore.

Where it stands

Singularity is a work in progress, built in the open by one developer. It is not released, not for sale, and has no public download yet.

Playable today

Accounts and pilot creation, walkable stations, sector flight with docking and warp, combat against NPCs, loot, crafting and station vendors.

Being built

Shared zones with other players in the same sector and station, the guided opening sortie, and a wider slice of the galaxy to cross.

Closed alpha

A small invited group of testers, by email. No open signups, no marketing list, no newsletter.

Email & privacy

Singularity sends exactly two kinds of message, both triggered by the person receiving them, both transactional. There is no marketing mail, and no list to be added to.

  • Account verification. When someone enters their own email on the registration screen, they receive a one-time numeric code to confirm the address is theirs.
  • Password reset. Sent only when the account holder asks for it from the login screen.
  • Nothing else. No announcements, no promotions, no digests. There is no way to subscribe, because there is nothing to subscribe to.
  • Accounts are managed by Amazon Cognito. We store an opaque user id, the characters attached to it, and nothing more of the person behind it.
  • Bounces and complaints are acted on by disabling the account they came from.
